Bloom & Bond: Creating a Flower Bar Experience for Students at Lafayette College

There’s something truly magical about flowers, their color, fragrance, and symbolism have the power to spark connection, creativity, and joy. That’s exactly what happened at Lafayette College, where students were invited to dive into a hands-on floral experience through a custom-designed Flower Bar event.

2,000 Stems, One Beautiful Day

The planning started weeks in advance. With over 2,000 fresh flower stems delivered and prepped by our team, the campus was about to be transformed into a blooming oasis. Every stem from delicate ranunculus to vibrant sunflowers carefully conditioned, trimmed, and sorted. It was a labor of love that ensured each student would get the freshest blooms and the best variety to build their own bouquet.

Setting the Stage on Campus

On the day of the event, the heart of the Lafayette College campus became a floral playground. Long tables were set up and filled with buckets brimming with seasonal stems in every color imaginable. We brought everything students needed to design their own arrangement: floral shears, paper purses, and guidance if they wanted it. Whether they came solo or with friends, the vibe was welcoming and relaxed.

Students stopped by some created bouquets for themselves, while others made arrangements as gifts for roommates, professors, or even strangers. It wasn’t just about the flowers it was about connection.

More Than Just Flowers

What made this event so special wasn’t just the sheer number of blooms or the perfect weather it was the smiles, laughter, and stories that filled the air. It was seeing students pause and truly enjoy their day. In a busy academic environment, a few minutes of creativity and calm can go a long way.

At the end of the day, hundreds of students walked away with bouquets in hand.
