How far do you deliver?
At the moment, we are delivering within a 10-mile radius of the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. We are passionate about delivering the best possible experience, so for now, we focus on keeping our local deliveries timely and efficient. While we currently do not offer nationwide shipping, we are working hard to expand our reach and will soon offer shipping across the U.S. Stay tuned as we plan to bring Date in a Box to you, wherever you are!
How do I care for my items upon return?
We want our rentals to last and remain in the best condition possible to continue to serve you, so we include detailed care instructions with each box. You may be provided with either crates or a plastic box to store items in until we arrive for pick up.
Here’s how to properly care for various types of items you may find in your box prior to the end of your rental:
Hand rinse all items: To ensure the longevity of items, we recommend rinsing with just water to remove any debris and appreciate if you wash them with soap but NOT necessary. This keeps everyone safe!
Napkins: We will almost always use cloth napkins which we wash and we ask that you do NOT wash and simply keep them inside a designated crate we will provide.
Candles: Candles should be kept in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent melting or discoloration. When using, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before lighting to ensure an even burn.
Glassware and Tableware: To ensure the longevity of items, we recommend rinsing with just water to remove any debris and appreciate if you wash them with soap but NOT necessary. This keeps everyone safe!

Please DO NOT attempt to wash or clean these as you may ruin the items.
CAN I LIGHT THE CANDLES IN THE RENTAL SERVICE?
YES! We truly believe the ambiance is not ready until you light your candles. Always make sure your candles are never left unattended.
What happens if i break something?
For larger parties we require a $50 damages fee. Since a lot of our items are purchased in bulk we need to ensure we can repurchase for our next guests. Depending on how much the damage is we will asses and bill you separately if damages are over $50. We will process a refund as soon as we have processed inventory and nothing is missing or broken.
